Knox Branch was formed in July 2003 with the inaugural meeting being held at the Knox Club.
Early meetings were held at the Ferntree Gully Bowling Club, before moving to the Knox Tavern in Knox Ozone, Knox City Shopping Centre.
Due to the numbers attending the meetings, our space at the Knox Tavern was becoming limited, and as from May 2008 we have relocated to the Knox Club.
Knox Branch now has well over 130 members, and is run by a Committee of Management who are elected each year by the Branch members at the Annual General Meeting, which is held in August
Each year the Branch prepares a set of Aims and Objectives and uses them as a guide for social activities, fund raising, membership growth and community involvement.
The Branch has a very active Policy Sub-Committee who have already been successful in originating a number of policy proposals that are now included in the National Seniors Australia list of policies which National Seniors Australia presents to the Commonwealth Government.
A Branch newsletter known as "KNOCKS" ABOUT KNOX is published eleven times a year, and is very effective in keeping members informed of all goings on in the Branch.
It is either posted or emailed to each member, because not all members are able to attend our monthly meetings.
It can also be accessed via the newsletter link on this web site.
John Giles, the Branch President, is always happy to discuss any aspect of the Branch and its activities, and may be contacted on 9778 6784.
Or, you can contact the Branch Secretary at P.O Box 9201, Scoresby 3179
